Vigyázz! Így elemeznek a boltokban és vesznek rá nagyobb költésre

Új kutatás tárta fel, hogyan célozzák meg a kiskereskedők a leginkább költekező vásárlókat a sávos, "költs többet, spórolj többet" típusú akciókkal. A Journal of Business Research-ben megjelent tanulmány két jól elkülöníthető vásárlói csoportot azonosított: az óvatos vásárlókat, akik csak a kedvezményhez szükséges minimumot költik el, és a "gondtalan" vásárlókat, akik jelentősen túllépik a küszöbértéket. A kutatók azt is megállapították, hogy a promóciók hatékonysága nagymértékben függ a termékkategóriától: az örömszerzést szolgáló termékeknél jóval eredményesebbek, mint a megelőző jellegű cikkeknél. Az eredmények segíthetik a kereskedőket promóciós stratégiáik finomhangolásában és a személyre szabott kedvezmények célzottabb alkalmazásában.
