Al-Husszein bin Abdullah jordán trónörökös szeptember 13-án felkereste Jézus Krisztus megkeresztelkedésének helyszínét, a „Jordánon túli Betániát”, melynek arab neve Al-Magtasz, vagyis a Bemerítkezés helye. Látogatása során hangsúlyozta, hogy gondosan fel kell készülni a 2030-as ünnepségekre, amikor Krisztus megkeresztelkedésének kétezredik jubileumát ünneplik.
