Hétvégén súlyosbodtak a zavargások Európában, amire megütötték az eurót a kereskedés indulásakor, az európai tőzsdék pedig esnek, különösen a francia és az olasz index. Az ázsiai részvénypiacokon vegyes volt a kép reggel, a kínai index emelkedett a vártnál erősebb GDP-adatra, míg a japán tőzsde esett, Hongkongban pedig nem volt kereskedés.
