A vártnál magasabb amerikai inflációs adat borzolja fel ma a kedélyeket a tőzsdéken: szeptemberben 3,7 százalékra gyorsult az áremelkedés, miközben a maginfláció 2,6 százalékra emelkedett, mindkét mutató meghaladta az elemzői várakozásokat. A közlés után esni kezdtek az amerikai részvényindexek, és az arany is gyengült, a befektetők ugyanis ismét nagyobb esélyt látnak arra, hogy a Fed akár már októberben újabb kamatemelésre kényszerülhet. Eközben a harmadik negyedéves gyorsjelentési szezon is felpörgött, a nagybankok eredményei mellett pedig továbbra is az AI-szektor körüli aggodalmak és az iráni konfliktus fejleményei mozgatják a piacokat.
