Az MNB új célja – miért 2,5 és mit nyerünk rajta?

Két évtized után módosul a Magyar Nemzeti Bank inflációs célja. Az MNB eddigi, 3 százalékos céljának kitűzése óta a hazai árszínvonal érdemben közeledett az európai átlaghoz. Ehhez igazodva most a monetáris politika hazai keretrendszere is közeledik az európai gyakorlathoz: 2028-tól a jegybank inflációs célja 2,5 százalékra csökken. Az új cél tükrözi az elmúlt időszak során végbement felzárkózást és jobban illeszkedik a még előttünk álló konvergencia mértékéhez, emellett elősegíti az euróbevezetés feltételeinek teljesítését is. Hosszabb távon az alacsonyabb cél elérése kiszámíthatóbb gazdasági környezetet és olcsóbb finanszírozást teremt a háztartások, a vállalatok és az állam számára, a megfelelő időzítés pedig mérsékli az alkalmazkodás költségeit.
