Elzárják a pénzcsapot az európai bankok a gázberuházások elől
A nemzetközi fejlesztési bankok drasztikusan visszavágták a fosszilis energiaprojektek finanszírozását: az Európai Beruházási Bank már 2019 óta nem hitelez új fosszilis beruházásokat, más intézmények pedig csak kivételes esetekben támogatnak gázprojekteket. Miközben a banki források elapadnak, Délkelet-Európa továbbra is erősen függ a földgáztól, és az orosz gáz 2027-re tervezett tilalma előtt sürgősen alternatív ellátási útvonalakat keres. A Világbank pénteken 175 millió eurós hitelt hagyott jóvá Szerbiának gázinfrastruktúra-fejlesztésre, a régióban pedig épül a Vertikális Gázfolyosó, amely görög LNG-termináloktól juttatna gázt Bulgárián, Románián és Magyarországon át Ukrajnáig. A regionális szereplők szerint azonban a banki finanszírozás és az uniós klímapolitika közötti ellentmondás egyre nagyobb kihívást jelent az energiabiztonság szempontjából létfontosságú projektek megvalósításában.
