A forint délelőtt némileg erősödni tudott a vezető nemzetközi tartalékvalutákkal szemben, amiben a Hormuzi-szoros újbóli megnyitásáról szóló hírek és az olajárak csökkenése játszhatott szerepet. A magyar fizetőeszköz árfolyama szempontjából ugyanakkor a nap legfontosabb eseménye az irányadó kamat szinten tartása és az MNB inflációs céljának 2,5 százalékra mérséklése volt. A hírekre az euró árfolyama 360 forint alá erősödött, de Varga Mihály sajtótájékoztatóját követően fordulat jött a piacokon és a közös fizetőeszköz árfolyama a hétfő esti szintek fölé gyengült.
