Többéves csúcson a hozamok, Bessent mégsem lát okot aggodalomra

Scott Bessent amerikai pénzügyminiszter elutasította az amerikai kötvénypiaccal kapcsolatos aggodalmakat, miután a hozamok többéves csúcsokra emelkedtek – a tízéves állampapír hozama 4,96%-ra ugrott, a harmincéves pedig 2007 óta nem látott szintek közelében mozog. Az eladási hullámot a vártnál kisebb államadósság-visszavásárlás és az olajárak megugrása váltotta ki. Bessent szerint a Treasury-piac "nagyon jó állapotban van", a hozamemelkedés részben Irán tevékenységével és az energiaárakkal függ össze. A pénzügyminiszter visszautasította azt a kritikát is, hogy piaci beavatkozásai ellentétesek lennének Kevin Warsh leendő Fed-elnök megközelítésével, és a hosszú lejáratú kötvények kockázati prémiumával kapcsolatos aggodalmakat "zajnak" nevezte.
