Az amerikai jelzáloghitel-kamatok harmadik hete emelkednek, és ismét megközelítették a 7 százalékos szintet: a 30 éves fix kamatozású hitelek átlagos kamata 6,76 százalékra nőtt, ami 2025 júniusa óta a legmagasabb érték. A magas finanszírozási költségek komolyan visszavetik az ingatlanpiaci forgalmat – augusztusban a használt lakások eladási üteme 3,98 millióra csökkent, több mint egy éve a legalacsonyabb szintre. A kamatemelkedés hátterében a hosszú lejáratú állampapírhozamok növekedése, a vámintézkedések okozta inflációs nyomás és az iráni konfliktus gazdasági hatásai állnak. A növekvő kínálat ugyanakkor javíthatja a vásárlók alkupozícióját a továbbra is drága amerikai lakáspiacon.
