Politikai földrengés jöhet ma Németországban, a kancellár jövője is eldőlhet

Ma tartományi parlamenti választást tartanak Szász-Anhaltban, ahol közel 1,7 millió választópolgár dönthet az új törvényhozás összetételéről és közvetve a következő tartományi kormányról. Az AfD története során először kerülhet hatalomra egy német tartományban, és akár önállóan is kormányt alakíthat, a CDU pedig 20 százalékpont körüli vereséget szenvedhet. Az eredmény átrendezheti Németország politikai erőviszonyait, megkérdőjelezheti az AfD elszigetelésére épülő stratégia működőképességét, és súlyos belső vitákat indíthat el a kereszténydemokratáknál. Egy történelmi AfD-győzelem egyben Friedrich Merz kancellár személyes kudarca is lenne, ami meggyengítheti párton belüli tekintélyét, és bizonytalanná teheti hosszabb távú politikai jövőjét.
