Nekimegy a fizikai korlátoknak az AI-boom: lesz elég áram az adatközpontoknak?
A PJM Interconnection, az Egyesült Államok egyik legnagyobb villamosenergia-rendszerirányítója független előrejelzést készíttetett a Charles River Associates tanácsadó céggel az adatközpontok 2027 és 2047 közötti áramigényéről. Az elemzés szerint az AI-hoz köthető energiaigény két eltérő pályán mozog: a modellek betanítása fokozatosan lassul, míg az inferencia – a mesterséges intelligencia mindennapi alkalmazása – tartósabb növekedést mutat. A tanulmány rámutat, hogy a keresletbővülést nem csupán az árak, hanem fizikai korlátok összetett rendszere határozza meg, az erőművi kapacitásoktól a félvezetőpiacig.
