Trump új vámterve béníthatja le az amerikai AI-álmokat

A Trump-kormányzat egy jelentősen kibővített félvezető-vámrendszert készít elő, amely nemcsak a chipekre, hanem az azokat tartalmazó termékekre – laptopokra, szerverekre, játékkonzolokra – is kiterjedne. A terv lényege, hogy az amerikai gyártókapacitást építő vállalatok arányosan nagyobb vámmentes importkvótát kapnának, míg a többieknek vámot kellene fizetniük. A szakértők szerint azonban az intézkedés éppen az amerikai AI-infrastruktúra gyors kiépítését drágíthatja meg, mivel a fejlett chipek gyártása továbbra is döntően ázsiai üzemekben zajlik. Az európai pozíciót az új amerikai vámfal rövid távon javíthatja, hosszabb távon viszont Washington agresszív iparpolitikája magához szívhatja a globális gyártókapacitást, ami az EU Chips Act 2.0 és AI-gigagyár programjait stratégiai fontosságúvá teszi.
