Megtört a fél éve tartó optimizmus a magyar gazdaságban: a GKI Gazdaságkutató felmérése szerint augusztusban a fogyasztók és az üzleti szféra hangulata is romlott. A várakozások összefoglaló jelzőszáma, a konjunktúra index az előző időszak emelkedő trendje után lefelé korrigált, 4 ponttal csökkent. A vállalkozások foglalkoztatási hajlandósága tovább mérséklődött, az értékesítési árak várható alakulására vonatkozó összesített várakozás lényegében nem változott júliushoz képest. A fogyasztói bizalmi index összetevői közül legnagyobb mértékben az ország következő 12 havi gazdasági helyzetére vonatkozó kilátás romlott.
