Harold James: Áttörték a dollár védelmi vonalát, összehangolt támadás jöhet

Miért költ az amerikai kormány milliárdokat a japán jen megmentésére, miközben nyíltan az 1930-as évek protekcionista vámpolitikáját követi? Amikor Scott Bessent pénzügyminiszter a japán fizetőeszköz támogatása mellett döntött, valójában nem a szövetségest, hanem az amerikai gazdaságot mentette. Harold James, a Princeton Egyetem professzorának elemzése rámutat: az igazi tét az amerikai államadósság finanszírozhatósága és a magas kamatoktól szenvedő választók tűrőképessége. Egy elhibázott manőver pedig nemcsak hiábavaló lehet, de akár a dollár elleni összehangolt nemzetközi támadásoknak is megágyazhat.
