Gigantikus lépésre készül Trump embere: megmozdulhat a 950 milliárd dolláros Fed-számla

A Federal Reserve-nél vezetett, mintegy 950 milliárd dolláros folyószámlájának egy részét is felhasználhatja az Egyesült Államok pénzügyminisztériuma a hosszú lejáratú államkötvények visszavásárlásának finanszírozására – erősítették meg magas rangú tisztviselők. A lépés jelentősen bővíthetné a szeptember 9-én induló, megemelt keretű visszavásárlási program mozgásterét, és erősíthetné annak hozamcsökkentő hatását. A készpénzállomány bevonása csökkentheti a Fed közvetlen beavatkozásának szükségességét is, miközben a tárca szerint az adósságplafon-probléma legkorábban 2027-ben jelentkezhet. A pénzügyminisztérium visszautasította a kritikákat, miszerint a lépéssel feladta volna a kötvénykibocsátások kiszámítható gyakorlatát.
