A Walmart az elmúlt hat év leglassabb negyedéves, azonos bázisú árbevétel-növekedéséről számolt be, miközben arra figyelmeztetett, hogy a magas üzemanyagárak egyre nehezebb helyzetbe hozzák a vásárlókat. A kiskereskedelmi óriásvállalat részvényei közel 10 százalékot zuhantak, ami csaknem 90 milliárd dolláros piaci értékvesztést jelent.
