Szerdán hivatalba lépett Baka András, Magyarország új köztársasági elnöke, akit az Országgyűlés még augusztus 11-én választott meg. A száz napja működő Tisza-kormány folytatja az előző kabinet döntéseinek felülvizsgálatát: eddig 70 nem nyilvános határozatot tártak fel a kormányváltás körüli időszakból, miközben mintegy 4000 milliárd forintnyi állami forrás sorsa kérdéses. A Fidesz belső állapotfelmérésbe kezdett a tavaszi vereség okainak feltárására, a kérdőívben akár a párt megszüntetése és újraalapítása is felmerül opcióként. A kormány emellett lakhatási programot és társadalmi egyeztetési platformot indított, miközben a paksi atomerőmű alacsony dunai vízállás miatti helyzete is megoldásra vár. Valamint megindult a készülődés az augusztus 20-i ünnepségekre is.
