Időn bőven a cél felett lesz az infláció az euróövezetben

Philip Lane, az Európai Központi Bank vezető közgazdásza szerint az iráni háború következményei miatt az infláció 2026-ban is érdemben a 2%-os jegybanki cél felett maradhat, az év hátralévő részében pedig a fogyasztói árak emelkedése nagyjából 3% körül alakulhat. Az euróövezeti infláció júliusban 2,9%-ra gyorsult, miközben a közel-keleti konfliktus továbbra is magasan tartja az energiaárakat. Lane nem zárta ki az újabb kamatemelések lehetőségét, de hangsúlyozta, hogy az EKB nem kíván előre elköteleződni egy konkrét kamatpálya mellett. A gazdasági növekedés egyelőre elfogadható – a második negyedévben 0,4%-kal bővült az euróövezet –, az inflációs kockázatokat azonban az energiaárak mellett az El Niño és az élelmiszerárak emelkedése is fokozhatja.
