Veszélybe került a globális élelmiszer-ellátás – Nagyon gyorsan lépni kell

A közel-keleti konfliktus a hidrogénalapú termékek globális termelését és kereskedelmét is megzavarta, rámutatva a nem kellően diverzifikált ellátási láncok sebezhetőségeire. Ennek hatására a műtrágyák, vegyi anyagok és finomított termékek globális piacai is jelentős zavarokkal küzdenek, amihez közvetve a szintén a közel-keleti krízis kiváltotta gázpiaci helyzet is hozzájárul. Az alacsony karbonintenzitású hidrogéntermelés tiszta alternatívát kínálhatna nem csak a fosszilis alapú hidrogéntermeléssel szemben, azonban ez még nem áll rendelkezésre olyan léptékben, hogy azonnal enyhíthetné a nyomást. A piac fejlődését a magasabb költségek mellett a bizonytalan kereslet, a bonyolult szabályozás és az infrastruktúra hiánya is lassítja, így a kormányok által kitűzött 2030-as célok egyre inkább elérhetetlennek tűnnek - derül ki a Nemzetközi Energia Ügynökség (IEA) jelentéséből.
