Aszad bukása óta először ült össze a parlament Szíriában

Bassár el-Aszad 2024 decemberi bukása óta első alkalommal ülésezett vasárnap Szíria új, 210 fős parlamentje. Ahmed es-Saraa elnök arra szólította fel a képviselőket, hogy tegyék a törvényhozást a felelősség és szakértelem mintájává. A mandátumok kétharmadáról regionális testületek döntöttek, a fennmaradó képviselőket maga Saraa nevezte ki, amit bírálói a kormány túlzott befolyásaként értékeltek. A parlament hatáskörei egyelőre korlátozottak.
