Tisza-kormány: akkora a vízhiány, hogy Magyar Péter is megszólalt
A rendkívüli szárazság és a szerdáig meghosszabbított harmadfokú hőségriasztás miatt kritikus helyzet alakult ki a hazai vízellátásban, ezért Magyar Péter az ivóvíz-fogyasztás azonnali mérséklésére kérte a lakosságot. A hőhullám az energiarendszert is érinti: a MAVIR kezdeményezésére az energiaügyi miniszter részleges felmentést adott a Paksi Atomerőműnek a további teljesítménycsökkentés alól, így június 29–30-án az eredetileg előírtnál nagyobb teljesítménnyel működhet az ellátásbiztonság fenntartása érdekében. Nyílt levélben tiltakozott a Megyei Önkormányzatok Országos Szövetségének elnöke egy olyan előkészítés alatt álló javaslat ellen, amely befagyasztaná a polgármesterek bérét, miközben jelentősen csökkentené a megyei közgyűlési elnökök fizetését. Közben személyi szabadság megsértésének gyanújával hallgatta ki a Fővárosi Nyomozó Ügyészség Hajdu Jánost, a Terrorelhárítási Központ volt főigazgatóját, az ügyben zajló eljárás újabb fontos fejleményekhez érkezett.
