Az Egyesült Államok és Irán előzetes megállapodásra jutott a köztük dúló háború befejezéséről, és pénteken Svájcban tartják a hivatalos aláírási ceremóniát. Donald Trump ezek után bejelentette, hogy elrendelte a Hormuzi-szoros azonnali megnyitását, és az amerikai haditengerészeti blokád feloldását. Az olaj azonnal árfolyameséssel reagált a hírre, a tőzsdék pedig raliznak, Ázsiában a japán, és a dél-koreai tőzsde közel 5 százalékot ugrott, és Európában, valamint az USA-ban is határozott emelkedéssel zártak az indexek, a Dow napközben még rekord szintre is ugrott. Bár Donald Trump hónapok óta hangoztatja, hogy közel lehet a megállapodás, ez a mostani előzetes egyezség úgy tűnik, hogy valóban lezárhatja a február vége óta tartó háborút. A konfliktus nyomán megemelkedett olajárakat megszenvedi a gazdaság, főleg az inflációs nyomás növekedésén keresztül, miközben az olyan iparágak, mint a légi közlekedés, jóval magasabb működési költségekkel szembesülnek. Vagyis ha tényleg összejön a megállapodás, az a gazdaság számos pontján fellélegzést okozhat.
