Libanon és Izrael megállapodott a tűzszünetről, ami újabb lehetőséget kínál a tartós béke megteremtésére, a lépést pedig Kaja Kallas uniós külügyi és biztonságpolitikai főképviselő is üdvözölte. Az EU felszólította az összes felet a megállapodás feltételeinek maradéktalan betartására: a Hezbollahnak ki kell vonulnia a Litáni folyótól délre, Izraelnek pedig el kell hagynia Libanon területét – számolt be az MTI.
