Marco Rubio amerikai külügyminiszter szombaton Újdelhiben tárgyalt Narendra Modi indiai miniszterelnökkel a kereskedelmi és energetikai kapcsolatokról. A látogatás célja a megtépázott kétoldalú viszony helyreállítása volt; a kapcsolatot Washington vámintézkedései, illetve az Egyesült Államok Pakisztánhoz és Kínához fűződő közeledése árnyékolja be.
