Érzékeny szakaszához érkezett az iráni konfliktus. Tisztában voltunk vele, hogy Irán nagy kiterjedésű ország, amelyet földrajzi helyzete (Hormuzi-szoros), nukleáris programja, fegyverarzenálja, valamint szilárd és szívós rezsimje megkerülhetetlen geopolitikai tényezővé tesz. A katonai célpontok támadását az energia-infrastruktúrákra mért légicsapások váltották, ami egyre nagyobb világgazdasági kiszámíthatatlanságot idéz elő. Az „Epic Fury”-nek nevezett amerikai hadművelet epikusnak epikus, de kimenetele „fury” helyett egyelőre fura. A piacokat is befolyásoló Trump-ultimátumok, a krónikus szorongás a szoros miatt, a rakéta- és nukleáris infrastruktúra felszámolása, a „diplomácia vs. boots on the ground” kérdése, a Kharg sziget, a Báb el-Mandeb és a sótalanító állomások sorsa még bekavarhatnak, miközben a világot már a stagfláció szellemével riogatják.
