Nyolcvannyolc éves korában, családja körében békésen távozott az élők sorából Peter Medak (Medák Péter), a nemzetközileg elismert, magyar származású rendező. Medak nemcsak a brit és az amerikai mozivásznon futott be figyelemre méltó karriert, hanem olyan kultikus televíziós sikersorozatok epizódjait is jegyezte, mint a Breaking Bad, A Drót, a Doktor House vagy a Hannibal.
