Vészharangot kongattak a kisboltosok, mert a megmaradásuk került veszélybe az árréssapka miatt. Bár a jegybank szerint is ki lehetne vezetni ezt a szabályozást és a kormányalakítás után a pénzügyminiszter is utalt arra, hogy megszabadulnának ettől a piactorzító intézkedéstől, ám ez nem történt meg. Sőt kormányhatározati státusz után törvényszintre emelkedett, a kormány beillesztette a kereskedelmi törvénybe az intézkedést.
