Magyarországon sok idős embert érint élete utolsó éveiben, hogy nyugdíjasotthonba költözik. Az ezzel kapcsolatos döntést meghozni a család számára nem könnyű, a szerződések tartalmát körültekintően érdemes megvizsgálni. A nyugdíjasházakat üzemeltető vállalkozások által alkalmazott általános szerződési feltételeket ellenőrzi a Nemzeti Kereskedelmi és Fogyasztóvédelmi Hatóság a kormányhivatalokkal közösen.
