Komoly változást lebegtetett be Magyar Péter: a jövőben nem az Országgyűlés, hanem közvetlenül a választók dönthetnének arról, ki legyen Magyarország köztársasági elnöke. A Tisza Párt vezetője egy Reddit-kérdésre válaszolva azt írta, támogatja a közvetlen elnökválasztást, de hangsúlyozta, hogy erről végső soron az emberek döntenének az új alkotmányozási folyamat során.
