Újra él az Alföldön a jégkármentesító rendszer, a JÉGER. A Nemzeti Agrárgazdasági Kamara portálján bejelentett hírnek azonban nem minden gazda örül, mert szerintük a rendszer miatt nem kapnak egy csepp esőt sem, száradnak ki a vetéseik. A JÉGER ugyanis azonnal levadássza az általa veszélyesnek minősített felhőket, s így lehet, hogy megelőznek egy jégverést, viszont az esőt is elzavarják az aszály sújtotta területek felől. A gazdák féltik a megélhetésüket, a jégágyúk kezelői már halálos fenyegetéseket is kaptak, ha be merik kapcsolni a szerkezeteket.
