Lannert Judit, az oktatásért felelős miniszter első interjúját a Balzac diákújságnak adta, amelyben többek között a hat- és nyolcosztályos gimnáziumok szerepéről is beszélt. Kijelentette, hogy ezek a képzési formák jelenlegi rendszerükben leginkább az elit elkülönülését szolgálják, és a középiskolai felvételi rendszer átalakításának szükségességét hangsúlyozta. Lannert szerint a felvételik ma már nem a tehetségek kiválasztásáról szólnak, hanem néhány elit gimnázium pozíciójának fenntartását szolgálják, ezért a kérdés társadalmi egyeztetést igényel, amelybe a fiatalokat is be kell vonni.
