Életének 75. évében, 2026. május 27-én elhunyt Bezzegh István, Maglód rendszerváltás utáni első polgármestere. A településvezető 1990 és 2002 között irányította a nagyközséget, lefektetve a mai városias fejlődés alapjait. Maglód Város Önkormányzata megrendülten közölte a hírt, és a korábbi polgármestert saját halottjának tekinti.
