Magyar Péter, a Tisza Párt elnöke közölte, hogy Wáberer György nagyvállalkozó interjúját követően utánajártak a pártnak nyújtott támogatásoknak, és azt találták, hogy az üzletember a választások előtt öt nappal ötször 20 millió forintot utalt át a párt számlájára. Magyar közölte, a Tisza Párt a teljes összeget visszautalja, hangsúlyozva, hogy céljuk elkerülni bármilyen üzleti vagy politikai befolyás látszatát.
