Megrepedt a szankciós pajzs? Befolyásos európai államok nyomására mentettek fel orosz milliárdosokat

Valdis Dombrovskis uniós gazdasági biztos szerint az EU nem adhatja fel a szankciókat, sőt fokoznia kell az Oroszországra nehezedő gazdasági nyomást. Nyilatkozatának közvetlen előzménye, hogy Franciaország és Luxemburg elérte két prominens orosz oligarcha – Aliser Uszmanov és Mihail Fridman – levételét az uniós szankciós listáról. A vita rávilágított az egyhangúsági követelmény okozta nehézségekre, amelynek megszüntetését Dombrovskis rövid távon nem tartja reálisnak, mivel az uniós szerződések módosítását igényelné. A lett politikus szerint a békekezdeményezések eddig nem vezettek eredményre, ezért nincs más lehetőség, mint tovább növelni a nyomást Moszkvára.
