Magyarország a kínai elektromosjármű- és akkumulátoripari beruházások egyik legfontosabb európai célpontjává vált. Ez önmagában sikertörténetnek tűnik. A valódi kérdés azonban nem az, hogy hány új gyár épül, hanem az, hogy ezek a beruházások képesek-e tartósan növelni a magyar vállalatok tudását, versenyképességét és hozzáadott értékét – vagy csupán egy új, technológiailag fejlettebb, de ugyanúgy függőségeket termelő "gyárgazdaságot" építenek. Vállalati interjúkon alapuló kutatásunk eredménye szerint az eddigi tapasztalatok alapján a kínai EV-beruházások a hagyományos autóipari FDI-nél is kisebb pozitív spillover-hatást eredményeznek a fogadó gazdaságban.
