Tényleg a JÉGER-rendszer miatt száradnak ki a magyar földek? Megszólaltak a meteorológusok

Hőhullám tombol jelenleg Magyarországon, az extrém magas hőmérséklet mellett pedig az aszály mára már súlyos mezőgazdasági károkat okoz. Az elmúlt időszakban a nyilvánosságban azonban egyre gyakrabban merül fel érvként, hogy az országos szinen műküdő JÉGER jégkármérséklő rendszer lehet felelős a szárazságért. Egy ötezer gazdálkodót bevonó felmérés alapján a válaszadók 66 százaléka a rendszer leállítását kérte, így az Agrárminisztérium több megyében leállítja a rendszer működését. A minisztérium hangsúlyozta, hogy a döntés nem tudományos állásfoglaláson alapul: szeretnék a jövőben megvizsgálni a rendszer működésének hatékonyságát. A Portfolio-nak nyilatkozó meteorológusok szerint a jelenleg rendelkezésre álló adatok alapján sem a rendszer csapadékcsökkentő hatása, sem a jégkár elleni hatékonysága nem igazolható egyértelműen. A működési adatokból az is kiolvasható, hogy a JÉGER-rendszer generátorait évről évre kevesebbet használják, amely az egyre szárazabb klímával állhat összefüggésben. A szakértők arra figyelmeztetnek, hogy a szárazodás évek óta tartó, fokozódó probléma, amelyet elsősorban a klímaváltozás és a nem megfelelő vízgazdálkodás okoz.
