A hétvégén számos Android-felhasználó figyelmét felkeltette egy „Android Pulse” nevű alkalmazás, amely váratlanul jelent meg a Play Store frissítési sorában. Az alkalmazás ikonja helyén csupán egy üres négyzet volt látható, és semmilyen magyarázat nem kísérte a megjelenését. Bár a Google már március óta terjeszti ezt a szoftvert, a felhasználók többsége csak most értesült róla, emiatt sokan aggódnak, többen pedig felháborítónak tartják az esetet.
